Parboni Pallav Bose (b. 1994, Jhansi, India) is a Delhi based photographer. She has exhibited within India and Internationally.

Parboni’s practice is based on an investigation of human emotions across various projects. She has an ongoing work on tracing and documenting textile traditions across India along with their artisans, creating an archive of people practicing handloom traditions that are rare and scarce in the time of growing mechanisation and the impact of fast fashion in the country. Projects such as ‘Weaves of Kashmir’ (2024)  and ‘Siddis’ (2024) explore the traditional textiles of the regions, the artisans involved in the same, the deep connection between textile, culture and heritage of a place. In ‘Dilli’(2024-ongoing) she explores the lanes and history of old Delhi, exploring the sights of the bazaar, the quaint character of the region and its people and a dive into one of the oldest parts of Delhi, a city she calls home. Beyond digital photography, Bose experiments with film mediums as well as historical processes in photography, exploring and interacting with topics such a grief, migration, identity fragmentation, caste, race and community and their expressions in art. In her work there is curiosity, discovery, and a passion for documentation of human emotions, traditions, and culture placed in people’s unique geographies.

Bose has recently won the Tata Lit Fest Grant (2024) and developed a project on ‘Readers in Mumbai’ for the same.
